here are many indexes used for adjustable rate mortgages (ARMs). The three most common indexes are:

1 Year US Treasury Security Adjusted to a Constant Maturity (CMT)
Cost of Funds of the 11th District Federal Home Loan Bank (COFI)
London InterBank Offering Rate (LIBOR) -- Monthly
